About Community Schools
In 2023, Eureka City Schools (ECS) received a California Community Schools Partnership Program (CCSPP) Grant to establish new community schools across the district.
A Community School is a whole-child school improvement strategy where schools collaborate with teachers, students, families, and the community. Working together with local agencies and government, Community Schools align resources to support:
-
Academic achievement
-
Social-emotional development
-
Family and community engagement
