California Healthy Kids Survey
Eureka City Schools participates in the California Healthy Kids Survey (CHKS), a vital tool used to understand and support the well-being of our learners. This statewide survey helps schools assess key factors that impact student success, including:
-
School climate and safety
-
Student engagement and academic motivation
-
Physical and mental health
-
Substance use and risk behaviors
-
Social-emotional well-being and support systems
The CHKS is voluntary, anonymous, and confidential and is typically administered to learners in grades 5, 7, 9, and 11. The data collected helps our district improve programs, create a safer and more inclusive learning environment, and ensure that learners receive the support they need to thrive.
