Back to School Packet and Updates
Eureka City Schools is utilizing PowerSchool Enrollment to collect essential student and parent information, including the Back to School Packet for the 2025–2026 school year. This packet will be sent to the Primary Contact 1 email address listed in PowerSchool Enrollment.
It is a state requirement that every parent completes the Back to School Packet and acknowledges receipt of certain regulatory information.
Please review, complete, and submit the electronic forms by Friday, August 29, 2025.
Following Registration and Preparing for Back to School

If the child is a new learner entering ECS:
The primary contact (Contact 1) listed in the registration will receive the Notification of Final School Placement via email. -
If the child is a returning learner of ECS:
Learners automatically advance to the next grade within their current school (re-enrollment is not required). If a school placement change is necessary, parents will be notified in advance. -
If the child is a returning ECS learner going into 6th or 9th grade:

6th Grade: Learners will automatically transition to Winship or Zane based on their school zone (no re-enrollment required).

9th Grade: All learners will advance to Eureka High School (no re-enrollment required).

Middle School Placement Notification:
Parents receive a placement letter in November of their child’s 5th grade year.

PowerSchool is Eureka City Schools' student information system (SIS), used by administrators, teachers, parents, and learners.
What is PowerSchool Enrollment?
PowerSchool Enrollment is the online system for registering new learners and completing the required Back to School Packet each year.
What is the PowerSchool Parent Portal / Mobile App?
The PowerSchool Parent Portal, accessible online and through the PowerSchool Mobile App, allows parents and guardians to:

ECS Elementary Schools
