Elementary Distance Learning Update

Elementary Distance Learning Update
Posted on 04/08/2020
Good evening ECS elementary school families,

This Friday, April 10, the second round of TK-5th grade student distance learning packets will be available for pick-up at your child’s school. This work packet will cover a 4-week period that begins on April 20th. For your convenience, there will be two packet pick-up times this Friday; 11 AM to 1 PM and
5 PM to 6:30 PM. Since each packet is personalized, you will need to go to your child’s specific school site for pick-up. As you drive-up, a staff member will bring the packet to your vehicle, and we ask that you stay in your vehicle to ensure that we adhere to mandatory social distance protocols.

If you are ready, you may also drop-off your child’s last distance learning packet as you pick-up your new one. Be sure that your child’s first and last name are clearly printed on the front page of the returned packet.

Please note that included in all packets will be an application for the 2020-2021 school year After School Education and Safety or ASES program. This program is available on a priority basis for students in grades TK-5. Current 5th graders should complete the middle school application that will be included in the 5th grade packet you pick-up. Directions for completing and returning the ASES applications are provided in the application cover page. For 4th grade students only, a song flute will also be included with your work packet.

This message will also appear on each elementary school’s Facebook page and on the ECS District Website. Thank you for being a critical partner in your child’s education during these challenging times. We appreciate you and we are here to support you in meeting your child’s needs. Be well, and stay safe. Goodbye.
