Seeking Volunteers For Citizens Oversight Committee

Eureka City Schools is accepting applications to serve on the Citizens Oversight Committee for Bond Measures S and T. The purpose of the committee is to advise the governing board and inform the public regarding bond construction projects, their costs, ensure the projects are within the scope of the bond and report on the proper expenditure of taxpayers’ money for school construction.
The committee consists of a business representative, a member of a taxpayer’s association, a senior citizen, a parent or guardian of a child enrolled in the district, a parent or guardian of a child enrolled in the district and active in a parent-teacher organization, and two members at large with interest in education. Members will be appointed for two years.
