California Cancer Crusher Scholarship – Deadline 3/15/17


This fund was established in 2016 by the California Cancer Crusher non-profit organization in memory of loved ones that have suffered from cancer. There will be three $1,000 scholarships awarded to graduating seniors within Humboldt County.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Applicant has fought cancer or has an immediate family member (parent, sibling, grandparent) who has fought cancer

  • Applicant will graduate from a public high school in Humboldt County

  • Applicant has an overall high school GPA of 3.0 or better

  • Applicant will be attending a university or junior college in the fall of 2017

Application Packet must include the following:

1. Completed Application Form (available online or in the EHS counseling office)

2. An official high school transcript

3. Personal statement (1-2 pages typed) describing how cancer has affected your life and how you see it affecting your future.

4. Two letters of recommendation
