Negotiations Update 4-13-21
Posted on 04/13/2021
The District and the Eureka Teachers Association (ETA) met for a third half-day of 2021-22 contract negotiations on April 13, from 9-1 pm. ETA presented a counterproposal on most of the items contained in the District’s comprehensive package proposal from March 26, with some items still pending. The proposal encompassed some movement and some agreement on various articles proposed by the District.

ETA’s salary proposal remained the same as their proposal from March 26, and did not include a response to the District’s proposal to increase the instructional year in exchange for a 5% salary increase.

In response, the District presented a comprehensive counterproposal, maintaining its proposal to increase the instructional year by 5 days for 3 years, and largely maintaining its language proposals from March 19 and March 26.

For the most part, the District’s and ETA’s proposals remained the same as outlined in the previous negotiations updates.

The parties meet for a fourth day of negotiations on May 19, 2021.
