Educational Services Department

The Educational Services Department is committed to empowering student success through equitable access to high-quality instruction, targeted programs, and comprehensive support services. Our work is rooted in collaboration with school leaders, teachers, families, and community partners to foster academic achievement and personal growth for all students.

Our core responsibilities include:

  • Curriculum & Instruction: Developing and supporting rigorous, standards-aligned curriculum in all subject areas to ensure students are engaged in meaningful learning at every grade level.

  • Early Literacy: Promoting strong foundational reading and writing skills in the early grades through evidence-based instruction, assessments, and intervention strategies to ensure every student is reading at or above grade level by third grade.

  • Assessment & Accountability: Coordinating local and state assessments, analyzing student data, and guiding data-informed decision-making to improve outcomes and close achievement gaps.

  • College & Career Readiness: Providing students with multiple pathways to post-secondary success through programs such as CTE (Career Technical Education), academic advising, college exploration, FAFSA completion support, and work-based learning opportunities.

  • Dual Enrollment: Expanding access to college-level courses for high school students in partnership with local colleges, enabling students to earn both high school and college credit simultaneously.

  • Professional Development: Delivering high-quality training and coaching to educators that supports effective instruction, classroom innovation, and inclusive practices.

  • Student Programs & Services: Supporting the diverse needs of learners through English Learner services, Gifted & Talented Education (GATE), academic interventions, and enrichment opportunities.

  • After School Education and Safety (ASES): Managing high-quality, safe, and engaging after-school programs that support academic enrichment, social-emotional development, and family engagement for elementary and middle school students.

  • Support for Diverse Learners: Partnering with schools to ensure that multilingual learners, at-risk students, and advanced learners receive the individualized support they need to thrive.

  • Compliance & State Reporting: Ensuring district-wide compliance with federal, state, and local education regulations, and managing all required reporting and accountability measures.
