Parent Conferences

Zane will be conducting Parent Conferences during the week of October 13th-17th. Additionally, we will be participating in a whole staff training Monday, October 20th. Students will be released at 12:20 on each of these days. Bussing will be provided at 12:20 daily. We will continue to offer our After School program during those days and provide after school program busing at the regular 5pm departure time. Welcome to Zane Middle School!

We are really excited to report that we feel the first couple of weeks have been extremely successful here at Zane Middle School. We have already come together and really begun the process of creating a new and exciting school identity. Students have reacquainted with those they have not seen since early elementary school and our staff has developed into a unified group as well. Thanks for all of your support throughout our planning and implementation of our new middle school.

We would like to invite you all to our annual Back to School Night on Wednesday, September 17, 2008. We are anxious for you to see our school and have an opportunity to meet your child’s teachers and support staff. It will begin in the gym at 6:30pm. Form there, classrooms will be open from 7:00pm-8:00pm so you can get a feel about specific teacher expectations as well as become familiar with the curriculum that is utilized.

Also on the horizon are our Parent Conferences which will begin Monday, October 13th and last through Friday October 17th. Our student’s will be on minimum days during that time period followed by an additional minimum day which is scheduled for Monday October 20th for our staff to be able to complete some invaluable training regarding effective instructional strategies. The parents/caregivers of students who are not performing at grade level will be given priority for the conference times. All parents/caregiver’s however are encouraged to call our office to see about scheduling a conference.

  • School Fundraiser begins September 29th
  • First Picnic on the Plaza October 3rd

This promises to be a productive and memorable year for your student. Good things are happening here at Zane. Friendships are quickly developing and learning is taking place in every classroom. Please stay actively involved thought your child’s year and we very much look forward to seeing you at our upcoming events.
