California's Car Seat Law
As of January 1, 2002, the California's Car Seat Law changed. The new Booster Seat Law requires that children use a child safety restraint system until they are 6 years old or weigh 60 pounds.
Booster seats were designed to help children fit properly in shoulder and lap belts that are primarily designed to protect average size adults. Children should stay in a booster seat until the adult lap belt stays on their upper thighs, away from their stomach, and the shoulder belt comes across the chest without rubbing their neck. Children should never ride with the shoulder belt under their arm or behind their back. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration recommends using a booster seat until the child is 8 years old, 80 pounds, and 4'9" tall.

Medication Policy
If a child must take medication at school, it must be kept in the office. In order for the secretary to administer any medication (including aspirin and Tylenol), we must have a signed parent/physician form on file. These forms must be renewed annually. All medication must be in the original container.
