Each month seven academic departments at Zane select one student as their “Student of the Month.” Through their hard work, excellent attitude, and outstanding citizenship, these students are making the most of their educational opportunities at Zane. Zane’s students of the month represent the Falcon Spirit and serve as an example for other students.
The staff and I are busy preparing for the coming outstanding academic year. We are joining Eureka High School in implementing a Collaboration Monday Schedule. Each Monday will be a shortened day schedule with an early student dismissal.
The goal of the collaboration is to enhance the quality of education for your students. Research has proven having time for teachers to collaborate on curriculum and instruction increases student achievement. This valuable time will be used for our schools to move forward with full implementation of the new California Common Core State Standards.
