Dear Middle School Parents and Students, Welcome to Zane Middle School. The start of school is just around the corner, so I wanted to take a few minutes to introduce myself to you and give you a little information about events that are happening over the next few weeks. My name is Chuck Bush. Although I am a new resident of Eureka I have spent a lot of time here, and I know the area pretty well. Living and growing up in Fort Bragg, Eureka was the “Big City” we came to for special events, shopping, and other similar family outings. Now as an adult I bring my family camping and vacationing in the area nearly every year. I have over ten years experience as middle school principal and as a parent of four children myself, I know the challenges and stresses on a family as children move through these middle school years. I want you to know that Ms. Gardner, our new Assistant Principal, and I are both here to help in any way we can. In the next few weeks you will be getting a lot of information and hear a lot of rules and procedures. It really is not as overwhelming as it will seem, but know that you can call on us any time to answer questions, provide support, or just listen. We are committed to making your time at Zane the best educational experience possible. Right now there are four things that are important for you to know about.
There will be more information in your packet, so please read through it carefully. Remember to come pick up a packet on the 20th, or sometime before your schedule pick up day so that you can have it completed and all parent signatures BEFORE you come to pick up a schedule. Again, welcome to what I know will be the best school year you have experienced so far. Don’t hesitate to call if you any questions or if there is something that we can help you with. See you soon, Chuck Bush Valerie Gardner |
