Eureka City Schools is very happy to announce the appointments of a new principal to Eureka High School and a new Assistant Superintendent of Educational Services.
Eureka City Schools is very happy to announce the appointments of a new principal to Eureka High School and a new Assistant Superintendent of Educational Services.
Mr. Rick Jordan has been selected as the principal for Eureka High School.  Rick is currently the principal of Baechtel Grove Middle School in the Willits School District and has been in this position for the past seven years.  Prior to Willits, Rick worked as an Assistant Principal and then Principal at Lompoc High School in Lompoc, CA.  Rick is a graduate of Humboldt State University where he earned his Bachelor of Arts in English and his teaching credential.  He earned his administrative credential from Washington State University, WA.
Dr. Richard Lentz has been selected as the new Assistant Superintendent of Educational Services.  Richard is currently working for the Gilroy School District as the Administrator of Specialized Programs and Accountability.  Richard has also worked for the San Mateo County Office of Education as the Coordinator of Categorical Programs.  Richard earned his Bachelor of Arts from the University of California, Berkeley, his teaching credentials from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, and his Masters from Cal State Fresno.  He earned his administrative credential and Doctorate of Education from University of Washington, WA.
Eureka City School is pleased to welcome both of these fine candidates to our district.
