Coast Central Credit Union Scholarship – Deadline 3/14/18
A major purpose of the credit union is to strengthen the community where we live and work. The Board of Directors of Coast Central believes that supporting education is an effective way to ensure the future strength of our community, as well as support the aspirations of our youth.
The Scholarship Committee of Coast Central Credit Union is interested in assisting a broad spectrum of students who intend to continue their education. A total of thirteen scholarships may be awarded to qualified applicants based on their academic record. Serious consideration will be given to those students who have demonstrated a commitment to education, either through outstanding academic performance or through consistent improvement during their high school years, as well as financial need.
The scholarships are disbursed over a four-year period. For the first and second years the amount is $1,000 per year. For the third and fourth years, the value is increased to $1,500 each year for a potential total value of $5,000. To receive the entire scholarship, students must attend Humboldt State University, College of the Redwoods, Shasta Community College, or Chico State University & maintain at least a “C” or better GPA.
- Student must be a graduating senior from a high school located in Humboldt, Del Norte or Trinity County.
- Students must apply and be accepted to attend College of the Redwoods, Humboldt State University, Shasta Community College, or Chico State University as a full-time student (12 units or more) for the Fall 2018 semester.
- Applicant must have a high school grade average of “C” or better
