The following is a vacancy for which applications are currently being accepted in Eureka City Schools.

POSITION: Probationary I Culinary Teacher, 0.4 - 0.6 FTE                                                     

SITE: Eureka High School, 185-day work year.                                   

START: August 20, 2018                                                                                                                                         

SALARY: Placement on the teachers' salary schedule according to experience and educational units.                                                       

CREDENTIAL: California Preliminary Designated Subjects Career Technical Education Teaching Credential with an authorization in Hospitality, Tourism, and   Recreation and English Language Learners Authorization required.   

A high school diploma (or its equivalency) and a minimum of 5-years of experience, or 5-years of experience and education, in the subject, and two semester units (or passage of an examination) on the United States Constitution are required for this type of credential.  For full information on how to obtain this credential please go to the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing website at ctc.ca.gov.                       


1. Experience teaching/working in a culinary setting.

2. Understanding and knowledge of contemporary classroom management techniques.
