- Published: Tuesday, October 14, 2014
We are proud to announce that Lafayette students Jonathan Nieto, Jocelyn Kim, Dejanai Dunn, and Chiashi Her participated in the Arcata Farmers’ Market Salsa Making Competition again this year. The event was held on Saturday, October 11, and the day could not have been more beautiful! Our students partnered with chefs from Ramone’s Bakery and Catering. This year our students and chefs created a delicious salsa that used honeydew melon as a main ingredient. Student Services Coordinator, Catrina Scheffler, created costumes for the students that followed a superhero theme. Team FACE (Fiber, vitamins A, C, & E) took home prizes for Best Nutritional Knowledge and Best Presentation at the competition. Way to go Team FACE!!!
