Lafayette Elementary School opens a new preschool

Eureka City Schools is very excited to announce the opening of a new preschool program at Lafayette Elementary School. The program is scheduled to open on Monday, August 25, 2014, and will offer morning and afternoon half-day session. The morning session will be held from 7:45 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. and the afternoon session from 11:45 a.m. to 2:45 p.m. Breakfast and snacks will be provided the students at no cost. There will be no fee for students whose parent/guardian meets subsidized income guidelines. Children must have turned three by September 1, 2014, and potty trained.
Lafayette Preschool is an educational program offering a child-centered curriculum with a variety of learning experiences. Emphasis will be placed on beginning math and reading skills, problem solving, and developing social skills. Other enriching services will include the Tooth Program, Decade of Difference reading tutors, library time, and music.
