Charles Young Instructor of: Choir, Mixed Ensemble, Limited Edition, the VAPA freshman selective and the Guitar Classes |
Charles A. Young is the choral director of Eureka High School in California's Beautiful North Coast. He will be directing the renowned vocal jazz group, Limited Edition; Mixed Ensemble and Concert Choir.
Mr. Young joins Eureka City Schools with 12 years of teaching experience at
Paso Robles High School, in Paso Robles, CA. He directed the award-winning women’s
ensemble, Bella Voce’ and Concert choirs since 1994. These groups have
travelled extensively and just returned in June 2006 from Central Europe. Mr.
Young has served the California chapter of American Choral Directors Association
Board of directors as the Coastal Region representative. He worked for “The
California Arts Project” as a teacher mentor, instructing classroom teachers
how to add the arts to their lesson plans.
Mr. Young holds his Bachelor of Arts in Music from CSU, Chico and his credential
to teach from CSU, Stanislaus. Mr. Young is a dedicated and proud husband and
father of two.
