We are proud to offer our “After School Is Cool” Program through a grant from the state After School Education and Safety office. The program is FREE and is open to students in grades K-8. Check with your school site for available spots.

We are open from the time school is dismissed until 6:00 p.m. We offer homework help time, which coordinates with the regular day studies, and is staffed by tutors from College of the Redwoods and Humboldt State University. Each day a variety of academic enrichment activities, games and sports are offered - plus a healthy snack. “After School is Cool” is a safe place for children, with positive, caring adults as role models, and educational as well as enrichment activities. Please come and take a look. The program is offered at Alice Birney, Grant, Lafayette, Lincoln and Washington elementary schools, as well as Winship and Zane middle schools.
